The port of Calais operates a single route between France and Dover in the English county of Kent.
A number of ferry companies operate crossings along this route providing between them close to 50 crossings per day.

The Calais to Dover route has close to 50 crossings per day with services from P&O and Sea France. Only conventional vessels operate on this route with journey times of approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes. Dover's ferry terminal is well equipped with passenger facilities including the Granada Service areas for food and drinks and both ATMs and bureau de change facilities.
Ground transportation options from Dover are plentiful and include rail and coach service plus easy driving routes for those wish hire cars or private vehicles. Short and long term parking options are also available at the port.
Since the introduction of the Channel tunnel, this service has become less popular but still thrives off cross-channel shopping.
